The medium blush Cabernet Rose is dry, (no residual sugars), however the vibrant cherry/ raspberry and green capsicum fruit driven flavors give the wine complexity. With aromas of rose and hibiscus, the palate has a savoury finish. This wine is 13% alcohol and made with Saignée (“sohn-yay”) method (French meaning “to bleed”), where we crush the grapes and drain off the juice with some colour.
From expensive Bordeaux wines to dependable bottles at a much lower price, cabernet sauvignon delivers time after time. It’s the red wine equivalent of the little black dress and thus we decided to create our Cabernet Rose. Our Ballandean vineyard bore well, and the Saignée method provided a means to satisfy our loyal customers’ requests.
We enjoy our chilled Cabernet Rose with lightly spiced, middle eastern Israeli or Turkish foods, or anything that personifies “summer in a bowl”; light salads say with goats’ cheese and raw or lightly grilled fish. Perfect hot weather drinking.
