The wonderful scent of a spring breeze before the rain with hints of tropical fruits and flowers delight the nose. Clean, fresh and lightly acidic passionfruit, gooseberry and kiwifruit refresh the palate. This single vineyard, estate grown savagnin is an entrancing wine for warm afternoons and evenings.

Pair with light dishes of chicken and seafood, hors d’oeuvres or just on its own.

Open-top fermented with some flor influence in its winemaking backdrop. Apt for the variety! It’s a gently fruity, lightly saline and nutty white wine of interest and detail, set to medium weight. Flavours deliver a gentle but compelling array of savoury elements, from honey-glazed cashew to fino sherry with a thrust of briny, saline, minerally tang. While the fruitiness is perhaps a little overt overall, and the flor influence could go further, this is a delicious drink. Cleverly made to eke out additional oomph from this excellent variety.  Mike Bennie, Critique Halliday,2022
