Description
A very special Marsanne; estate grown and hand picked then three ferments using yeasts especially chosen to create structure, palate and aromatics. A fourth ferment in new French oak was then used to add depth.
This is extraordinarily complex wine displaying bitter almond and pear on the nose, supplemented by dried apricot and mysterious spices on the palate.
“Selected yeast strains contribute to a ferment that occurs in multiple oak barrels. A unique take on the variety, per se. It’s relatively lightweight but packs in good elements of citrus, quince, ginger, cashew and sandalwood woody spice elements. Quite firm and crisp in texture despite being lightweight; a charming white of high refreshment factor and great future potential. Drinks with vigour in youth.” HALLIDAY 2024
“Bright, fresh, lifted aromas of honeysuckle, just-ripe stone fruit, white flowers and spice. There’s lovely weight, texture and mouth-feel. Mealy, nutty and with a creamy fruitiness. The acidity is firm and pointed and delivers cut and shape.” THE REAL REVIEW (MELB AGE) 2024
