Sagrantino is indigenous to the region of Umbria in Central Italy and is renowned as one of the world’s most tannic and satisfying wines.
With lifted violet and nutmeg notes this inky Sagrantino reveals rich dark chocolate, aniseed and cinnamon integrated into a nicely balanced acidity. Pair with steak, rich cheeses, and wild mushrooms.
Scoring 94 points with both Halliday and Winestate, this is a fabulous example of this varietal.
