Description
Colours of light ruby hues and gleaming red cherries, that looks perfect with the sunlight shining through as if it were the crown jewels. This very young wine does take a little while to release it’s fragrant secrets but after some breathing, there is a dominant savoury raspberry fragrance that makes you want to reach for salami and cheeses. The raspberry also waft past your nasal passages with spicy and savoury scents.
This Sangiovese Rose is light but with full-bodied classic Italian flavours. The palate is dry, refreshing and with a tingling sour/savouriness that opens your taste buds. Mainly raspberry and pomegranate flavours perform a luscious and succulent dance along the length of your palate, a little black pepper and clove spice mix joins with some dried herbs containing oregano and possibly sundried/roasted tomato introduce themselves. The acid is fresh and invites food and the tannins are fine with just a little late drying. The overall mouthfeel of the wine is an enticing succulent lusciousness with a spicy edge and just a little bite.
The wine is made for drinking now and over the next few years or so.
Serve lightly chilled.
