Description
A little golden colour, nicely shining in the sunshine plays on the aroma of dried apricot, lime and pineapple. A crisp texture with natural acidity complements the mouth-watering dried strawberry and pineapple with a slight savoury sensation to start the long journey to a satisfying finish. Sweet almond slides over the ripe pear with a silky viscosity.
Cool fermented with short skin contact to extract a hue to delight all palates.
“Great to see the skinsy hue in the glass – the true colour of pinot gris shines bright here. The texture follows through, with slipperiness and some talc-like grip lending complexity and satisfying clicks and chew to texture. Scents of nashi pear, ginger, honeycomb, flavours of similar with a light peach and nectarine note in tow. It’s got lots going on, a savoury edge too, a lift of tangy acidity – geez, this moves in mysterious and great ways. Complex, compelling gris is the result.”
